PART TIME SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR: This position is essential for the success of revenue generation for Junior Achievement for South Carolina students. As part of a collaborative team environment, this role supports the daily functions of the development team. This role is a great fit for candidates that have event coordination or detailed experience in managing multiple projects/events at one time. The position has a statewide focus and is part-time (approximately 20hrs a week) with remote work and some travel.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Help Coordinate Special Events for JAGSC. Approximately 6 to 8 annual events.
- Conduct research and make asks of prospective sponsors for special events to meet fundraising goals for each event.
- Assist the Development Team with database entry for each event of prospects and secured sponsors.
- Manage and coordinate event logistics from location, food and beverage, and timeline/script all while working within an event budget
- Oversee communication/marketing of the events.
- Recruit volunteers as needed for special events.
- Oversee sponsor and event attendee feedback and thank you process.
- Requires the ability to travel 25% of the time, in the state as needed.
Qualifications (required)

- Understanding of event management from start to finish.
- Consistently make sound decisions on everyday issues. Demonstrate a drive to work towards resolving routine and unexpected problems with innovative and alternative solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences and demonstrate capacity to actively listen. Connect with others by taking genuine interest and relate in an open, respectful and friendly manner.

- Identify and anticipate the expectations and needs of various Junior Achievement stakeholders.
- Ability to manage data appropriately and efficiently. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Requires the ability to travel 25% of the time, in the state as needed.
